Chemistry
Our routine clinical chemistry is performed using a unique reagent system that is free of chromic interference from hemolysis, lipemia, and jaundice giving us fast and accurate results.
Toxicology
Select Laboratories offers a variety of toxicology testing services, including: blood drug profiles, meconium drug panels, therapeutic drug monitoring, synthetic/designer drugs and pharmaceutical quantitation that are fast, versatile, cost-effective, and reliable.
Urinalysis
Our urology testing offers clients a vast range of procedures, from ordinary PSA tests to complex methods of kidney stones detection and biopsy. Our team provide advanced, in-house testing, including comprehensive Immunohistochemistry (IHC) panels, to supplement morphological evaluations of difficult cases.
Hematology and Coagulation
Our Hematology department utilizes the latest technological advances in providing accurate results for a variety of blood formation and blood disorders. This includes but is not limited to testing on Complete Blood Count (CBC), serum, urine, and other body fluids. Our specific areas of testing range from routine hematology testing to more advanced testing.

Select Laboratories was founded by Ernie Knesel and his team of clinical laboratory professionals, leaders in the industry with over 250 years of cumulative experience in laboratory operation and management.
Bill Waddington
Co-Founder, Executive Vice President
Mr. Waddington, who has extensive experience in diagnostics sales, marketing, customer service and support, joined Select Laboratory Partners in 2009, he relocated to the United States to become Co-Head of Sales for SLP focusing primarily in the Southeastern United States
Patrick Rainey, PhD
DABT
Dr. Rainey joined SLP as the Director of Analytical Toxicology in 2012 and was promoted to Chief Scientific Officer in 2014 and COO in 2016. Dr. Rainey’s responsibilities include leading a team of scientists that manage SLP’s client portfolio of practice-owned laboratories and reference laboratories, directing research and development efforts for alternative clinical testing regimes utilizing LC-MS/MS technology and performing the scientific work required to obtain FDA approval for new clinical analyzers and reagent product offerings.
